Todd Johnson is the Operations Director of the Orthopedics, Neurosciences and Surgical Service Lines for Riverside Healthcare. He has been with the chamber for 10 years. Starting as an ambassador and this year became a member of our Board. Todd believes the Chamber is an integral part of the growth and prosperity of the community.
“As a board member, I feel I can take an active role in promoting both Riverside and the many great businesses within our community. I would like to utilize my background and past experiences to provide productive thoughts/ideas. Hopefully providing a different perspective. Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it. Being an active Chamber member is an important piece,” stated Todd.
Todd loves that the Chamber allows him to Stay connected and learn about the great things our community has to offer. He said, “The more opportunities that I have had to network with other members of the chamber, I am constantly surprised by both the types of businesses/organizations and their offerings.”
Todd has been with Riverside Healthcare since 2004. He started as a staff Physical Therapist and from there transitioned to the Outpatient Rehabilitation Manager for 10 years. In 2018, Todd helped start Orthopedics from the ground up. Also, he was involved in the 2021 launch of the Orthopedic and Spine Center.
He stated, “Today’s healthcare environment is very fluid, and success takes multiple people. Success to me is a group coming together for a common goal, collaborating to develop a plan, and executing on that plan as a team. Success feels so much better when you can share it with others.”
Todd was born and raised in Herscher, IL. and left to attend Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Him and His wife, Lisa, worked as contracted physical therapists in various parts of the country living in 6 states over a matter of 3 years. They have two children, Tyler, 16, and Makayla, 14, “As we were preparing to raise our family, an opportunity arose at Riverside, and we knew that Kankakee County would be a great place for our family,” said Todd. Todd enjoys golfing, biking, boating, and any outdoor activity on a sunny day. He also serves on the Board for the Kankakee Youth Hockey Club.
