Since 2020, Brandi Curvin has worked as the Corporate Development Coordinator for Aqua Illinois. Aqua Illinois is a subsidiary of Essential Utilities Inc. which is publicly traded on the NYSE and is a regulated public water and wastewater utility company providing service to approximately 3 million residents across 8 states. In Illinois, Brandi assisted in several municipal utility acquisition partnerships and is currently helping Aqua expand in Texas.
Originally from Manteno, Brandi moved to Dallas, Texas after graduating from Kankakee Community College. She worked as a business development director while raising two sons with her husband Joseph Curvin, M.D.
The first Board I served on was during college. I was Student Advisory Council President and a student representative on the College’s Board of Directors. This experience taught me the importance of being involved in order to provide the best support to constituents, to effect positive change that fosters growth and success, and that a woman’s voice at the table is valuable.
There are so many small businesses in Kankakee County. As a Board member, to recognize and support them is an honor. To watch them succeed is a beautiful thing.
Outside of work, Brandi enjoys hosting elaborate dinner parties, long road bike excursions, and chasing her lab puppy Lila.
