Peggy Sue Munday is a native of Kankakee County and a well known volunteer for many area non-profits. As well as sitting on various Boards of Directors she has several years experience chairing fundraisers for The American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Cancer Society. Munday was also heavily involved in the Kankakee Rotary Club where she reigned as the first woman President. She is currently a member of the Bradley Bourbonnais Rotary Club, on the board for the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties and a member of the Kankakee County Board, representing District 21. She perhaps is most well known for orchestrating and implementing Kankakee County Teen Court, in 2004, prior to her departure to Florida to care for her ailing father. While living in Florida for several years Munday volunteered at a girl's high school assisting with resume writing and job searches for students as well as starting a career clothing closet. She also became the spokesperson for Orlando Health’s Breast Cancer Center following her own diagnosis in 2016 where she not only was a part of their promotional campaigns but she also was the keynote speaker for several Orlando Health events. Her company, Munday Motivation LLC speaks on several topics related to not only breast cancer, but also having a mentally challenged brother, connecting to others and your community, adoption and also managing your level of stress.
