The Village of Bourbonnais presents the fourth annual “Rockin’ Around the Tree Lighting” featuring sounds of the season by Bourbonnais students!
Thursday, December 5th at 6 p.m., the public is invited to attend the festive outdoor event held at The Grove at Goselin Park - 700 Main St. NW.
“Rockin’ Around the Tree” will initiate with the lighting of the village tree by Mayor Paul Schore along with special tree lighting honoree, Alexis McCullough.
Performances will follow and feature:
- Alan Shepard Elementary School – 3rd grade, under the direction of Emily Heald
- Bishop McNamara Boubonnais – 3rd & 4th grades, under the direction of Stacie Knefelkamp
- Liberty Intermediate School – 6th grade choir, under the direction of Carrie Chaparro
- Paul’s Lutheran School – K-8th grades, under the direction of Diane Dyche
Santa Clause will be making a surprise stop with the Bourbonnais Fire Protection District, police and public Works for a truck-a-truck activity.
Attendees can glide alongside a winter wonderland of lights at The Rink – the village’s recently opened seasonal synthetic ice rink. Skate rentals will be available for free during the event.
Grab a bite to eat from Chick-fil-A Bradley Bourbonnais food truck, serving their famous chicken sandwich available for purchase.
Attendees can additionally enjoy a special sweet treat from Dairy Queen with $1 small cones at the 121 S. Main St. location.
Plow into the holidays with a public works truck, police squad car, and firetruck available for touch-a-truck and photos.
