March Board of Directors Spotlight: Matthew Schore

Born and raised in Bourbonnais, Matthew Schore has deep roots in Kankakee County. His commitment to leadership and service was evident early on when he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in high school. He is a graduate of Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School and Kankakee Community College before earning his bachelor's degree in Business from Northern Illinois University.

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing at A.N. Webber Logistics, Matthew brings over 15 years of industry expertise to the family-owned transportation and logistics company headquartered in Kankakee, IL. He leads a team that manages thousands of shipments annually across North America. In addition to its logistics and brokerage operations, A.N. Webber operates a fleet of more than 125 semi-trucks, leveraging advanced technology and operational efficiencies to provide reliable transportation solutions. Under his leadership, the company has enhanced its reputation in freight management, intermodal logistics, LTL, household goods transportation, strategic cost reduction, and community engagement.

Beyond his role at A.N. Webber, Matthew is a dedicated community leader. He serves on the Kankakee Community College Foundation Board, supporting students and future leaders in the region. He is also the Vice Chair of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce, recently stepping into the role after three years on the board and five years as a Chamber member. Additionally, he serves on the Ray Ollie Memorial Project Board, acting as the site liaison for the annual Veterans Day event held at the Ray Ollie Memorial in front of A.N. Webber’s headquarters.

Passionate about mentorship, Matthew recently served as a mentor for the Kankakee County CEO Class of 2024, guiding young entrepreneurs and business professionals. He is also on the board of the Rainbow Council, Scouting America, where he has helped lead fundraising efforts across Kankakee, Will, and Grundy counties for the past three years.

Matthew and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 13 years. Sarah is a Vice President at Ipsos, a global research firm, where she leads a worldwide team managing their Coca-Cola account. They have two children, Lincoln and London, who attend St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Bourbonnais. The Schore family are active members of Gathering Point Church.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys golfing, serving on the Golf Committee and as Vice-Captain of the club’s South District Golf League Team.

His passion for business, community engagement, and economic development continues to fuel his commitment to fostering growth and opportunity in the region.
