Why a Craft Supply Swap?
April is the perfect month to refresh your creative spaces, both figuratively and literally! Attending a Craft Supply Swap in your community provides a fantastic opportunity to clear out unused materials, give them a new home, and maybe even discover inspiration for your next creative project. Whether you knit, sew, scrapbook, paint, bead, embroider, or enjoy other crafts, there’s bound to be something for everyone! Don’t miss this chance to trade in gently used craft supplies and swap for some FREE, new-to-you materials!
How Does It Work?
Attending this Craft Supply Swap requires registration. Then, gather 2 standard boxes (approx. 7x5x4 or equivalent sized bags) of craft materials that are in good condition and ready for someone else to use. We will not accept crafting materials that are damaged and/or unusable. Next, either drop off your donations between April 1 and April 11, and we’ll sort them into categories for you. Or, bring your contributions on the day of the swap and sort them yourself before you “shop.”
Participants are asked to provide their own boxes or bags both for their donations and their hauls on the day of the swap.
What Can I Expect On the Day of the Swap?
All kinds of craft supplies are welcome at the swap! Yarn, fabric, paint, brushes, canvases, scrapbook paper, stickers, beads, embroidery supplies, stamps, glue guns, and more—if it’s a usable craft material, we’d love to see it represented!
We will not count or keep track of how much you donate; instead, we ask that participants follow an honor code and not take more than 2 boxes of supplies home with them.
Thanks for celebrating sustainability and sharing with us, neighbor–we can’t wait to see what you create with your new-to-you supplies! Register for the Craft Supply Swap here.
This event is free and open to all ages.
