B2B NEW BIZ Grants for businesses launched during pandemic. Brick-and-Mortar and home-based can apply, applicants are eligible for up to $30,000 in grants. The application opens Thursday, November 30th through January 11, 2024.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. For-profit business and nonprofit organizations (Registered as a 501(c) organization)
2. Must be independently owned and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois
- For-profit corporation
- Limited liability corporation
- Partnership
- Sole proprietorship
3. Started operations between 1/1/2020 and 12/31/2021
4. Had gross receipts between $25,000 and $20M in 2021 (Annualized if started during 2021)
MUST MEET ONE OF TWO CRITERIA
Business or nonprofit is a priority industry including:
- Hotels
- Restaurants and Bars
- Arts Organizations or Businesses
- Clothing and Electronics Retail Establishments (excluding e-commerce)
- Dry-cleaning and Laundry Services
- Home Health Care Services
- Child Care Providers
- Barbershop and Salon Services
- Indoor Recreation, Gyms and Fitness Centers
- Tourism and Group Transportation (excluding taxies, limos, or rideshare)
- Spectator and Social Event Services
- Museums and Move Theaters
The business is majority owned by an individual or individuals who become unemployed and started receiving unemployment insurance during the pandemic and prior to starting the business (3/13/2020 or later)
