The Salvation Army of Kankakee’s Red Kettle Campaign is about to be in full swing in
Kankakee County. Area locations include Walmart and Jewel in both Kankakee and
Bourbonnais, along with Kroger, Hobby Lobby, Farm and Fleet, Big Lots and the
Walgreen’s in Bradley and Bourbonnais. Bell ringers will be at these locations
beginning Nov 18, 2024.
The Kankakee Red Kettle Campaign Kick-off celebration will be held at the Salvation
Army at 148 N. Harrison Ave. in Kankakee from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on November 15 th.
” Our hope this year is to raise $250,000.” says Lieutenant LaToya Surratt, head of the
Salvation Army of Kankakee, “The need in our community is greater than ever. The
money raised will support the Christmas effort as well as the ongoing mission of The
Salvation Army throughout the year.”
Opportunities for caring individuals, local businesses, organizations, and churches, to
volunteer their time to “ring the bell” at one of the traditional Red Kettles are available
Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm beginning November 18, 2024,
through December 24, 2024. Interested individuals are welcome to register online at
registertoring.com.
